Chat filters, party window positions, and such.

GW is the only game I've ever played that doesn't maintain User Interface settings but defaults them with logging out or each zone change.

Is this an area needing development?
Or is there a switch or file setting you can toggle that maintains your settings?
Last but not least, how about a non-transparent chat text background for readability?

Hmm...I like keeping my party window etc. where it is. Last time I moved it and got pissed off and found that the update put it back in the correct position. I am now too scared to wiggle around my windows.

The user interface itself (with the life bars and what-not) will stay the same if you save the changes.

You can press the `/~ button (to the left of the 1) to bring up a solid chat background that does not inhibit movement/gaming.

I think what would be nice is to have the party window and such be part of the interface as well. That way it is permanently mounted and unmovable. You can change it in your spare time. I can see why this would be a bad idea, though, because sometimes it is a hassle to click menu, and then customize, etc. etc.
